Planetary Mixers
Planetary mixers are the most versatile commercial mixer. The attachment orbits the bowl while rotating on its own axis — just like a planet around the sun, hence the name. They come with three standard attachments: a flat beater for batters and frostings, a dough hook for bread and pizza dough, and a wire whisk for creams and meringues.

Spiral Dough Mixers
Spiral mixers are purpose-built for bread dough. The spiral hook and rotating bowl work together to develop gluten gently and efficiently, without overheating the dough. If you bake bread, pizza dough, or roti dough in large quantities, a spiral mixer will outperform a planetary mixer every time.
